About Our Guild
Seabreeze Quilt Guild (SQG) is a private, non-profit organization that was established in 1980 as the fourth local Guild chartered by the New England Quilt Guild. The goals of our Guild include, but are not limited to:
- -the education of our members through Guild mentorship and from guest speakers within the quilting industry
- -the working together of members to provide for our communities and for individuals in need
- -the promotion and education of the public in appreciating the artistic components of quilts
- -the participation and enjoyment of quilting fellowship at Guild sponsored meetings and gatherings
Guests are welcome to attend two meetings at no charge. A small fee may be charged for meetings that include guest speakers. Our meetings are the second Tuesday of every month at 7 pm at the Senior Citizens Center at 30 Court Street (Route 108) in Exeter, NH. Click here for map.
Officers are elected annually in May. Yearly dues are paid in April. Membership includes a monthly Newsletter that features the activities of the Guild, block-of-the-month pattern, and information on trips and programs.
A typical meeting would include a business meeting, "Show 'n Tell" of quilts by individual members, drawings for door prizes and Round Robin assignments. Speakers, workshops, demonstrations and special programs follow.
SQG is an active Guild. Because of building restrictions we have a Membership cap of 80 members and maintain a waiting list. As openings occur, we offer membership to the first person on the list. We are currently open for new members.
