While the date may look far away, the time to make the next quilt show a success is now. There is a lot of work to be done and many hands are needed. While the chairmanships for some of the committees are filled, there are still several looking for a leader. Below are the positions already filled followed by those we still need along with a brief description of what each job requires.

In Need of Chairwomen
Comfort Table: someone (from the Comfort committee) to display and explain the purposes and past practices of the comfort quilts
Quilt Show Layout: in charge of setting up the racks and hanging the quilts
Vendors: contacting possible vendors, assessing their needs and laying out the spots on the show floor
White Glove: schedule people with white gloves to show the backs of quilts when asked
Advertising Signs: place signs around town before the show.
Challenge Quilt: design the quilt challenge and present it to members of the guild for participation and completion prior to the actual show.
Program Booklet: We are looking into the possibility of a tri-fold. Regardless of what we choose, we will need someone responsible for collating and typing the info that will be included.
Publicity: responsibilities will include getting the word out to the public about the quilt show through a variety of venues.
Registration Preparation: forms will have to be typed up to hang on each quilt
Ribbons/ awards for vendor’s choice and quilt challenge: Order and co-ordinate the ribbons and awards
Quilt Rack Ordering: someone willing to explore a less costly source of racks similar to what we have gotten from Taylor Rental. If we find that Taylor Rental is the one, Sharon Anderson said she would be happy to handle the contact with the company.
Showing the Raffle Quilt: Last year the quilt basically sat in one location. We need someone who would like to coordinate getting the quilt out to various sights in order to promote the sale of tickets
